ABOUT CeO: Oh Hai. This is blog-a-rooney numero 3. You can always reach me for recipes, discussion or just a nice slap in the face if that's what you prefer at dlk.carlyerin@gmail.com That lil blurb down there is from my smarty-pants'ed CV. And if this leaves ya with an itch, call your doctor and visit eternalsoulshine.blogspot.com and firguremodels.org/lavieboheme for more boobs and opinions and writin's. CeO My work isn’t about elevation, but cataclysms. I hope only to spawn thought and reflection- all private reactions to the visual and written forms of my art, in order to catalyze the viewer’s innate creative self. Through these private moments, awakenings and revelations of the viewer, I truly hope that they can then move to continue the cycle of inspired freedom of self. Photography and writing in combination is so engaging to me; the combination between the “left brain” and the “right brain” keeps me on my toes and consistently challenged, even though some of my projects are solely one or the other.May 21
Tiano took some amazing shots of me:
My photographers often have wanted to experience life as a model, and now that I’m a photographer I’m flattered that many of them trust me to capture them. It is a great responsibility to tell their story, and here is Tiano, the Jiu-Jitsu-fighting-fine-art-photographer.

Here’s a snapshot of the less-touristy areas of Galveston, often afflicted, and then abandoned or ignored. I love how the colors play against the sky, still almost the definitive beach-bunny-color scheme. These were all shot from the car, out the window. I love how it almost stretches the images, twists up the ends like an old photo.

- Welcoming Mouse outside one of the shops
- Mars sneaks up on lee before a shoot.
- Characteristic architecture along the Strand in Galveston.
- Oil rig offshore Galveston, Texas
- Self Portrait of what could have been.
- The water line shows the depth of the flooding after Hurricane Ivan
- Porch view from a restaraunt on the water.
- Giant chess board on the Strand, Galveston, Texas
Here’s a few pics from my recent travels over Galveston Island on the Texas Gulf coast and Houston. Travel piece to follow at Blast.com. Galveston is a wonderfully nostalgic place that is literally disappearing into time, while Houston is a thriving metroplex.

…you may not always see them, but they’re always there” goes a well known quote, and a couple years ago started shooting on this theme. Here’s the Houston version, and of course there’s editions over on ESJG: There’s the Texas 2009, Santa Fe Winter 2009, and Santa Fe Summer 2009 editions.
Here’s the Houston Spring of 2010 edition…

On Easter I ate ribs.
(are ya followin’ me here?)
Weekdays rocked out the coneys, and spent a dinner at Manson’s fave hangout. Charles, not Marilyn.
(“And Bob Huggins!”)
Saw a black guy that spilled cool like Run DMC, named Zoran, rock out the drums to the typical midwestern-bar-cover-band-soundtrack.
Wound up a mountain and tore down a molehill.
Birthdays in an old-folks home.
Rotated twenty stories up reading stories from the hills.
Bickered, begged, belittled and belied.
Demanded coiffure on a sportscaster and received my wish.
Auntie Ferrari and her husband Fausto are just lookin’ for a coupla nice kids to live in their attic, any takers?
